Design
This simple, straightforward design matched the relationship the Investor had with her money. Her grandmother and mother had also been successful investors, but this lineage of women believed in keeping their prowess to themselves so as not to disturb social harmony with family or friends. The classic coat dress shape created a clean silhouette, with a single brooch for adornment.
Fabric
The Liberty cotton fabric in a dark, dense pattern seemed at a glance to be sober and understated. The ladder graphic was a perfect expression for the sense of the personal satisfaction that comes from building something oneself (whether a house or a share portfolio) and watching it grow.
