Brave New Works is a Denmark WA festival that delivers just what it promises. This year, together with Southern Edge Arts and Gneiss Design, we are presenting the My Money Matters tote bag project from go to whoa. It’s a rare chance to see the whole unfurling of a creative project in one place:

• from original work of art - the Abecedary for Financial Empowerment

• through its inspired community workshop phase to its creative outputs - the hand-embellished tote bags

• and a rare chance to see footage from the workshops that showcases each lovingly embellished letter the rich individual voice and story it expresses.

My artist talk will hopefully motivate a whole new set of conversations about women’s financial agency…and a whole new set of tote bag projects.
